PAT4NANO Update M30

22 December 2022

On the 22nd and 23rd of November an inspiring consortium meeting hosted by Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology took place.

During the meeting, the latest results were shared for each individual work package. Followed by a lab tour and a demonstration of the DLS-probe developed by Fraunhofer ILT. More on this technique will be shared in upcoming updates.

Afterwards Malvern Panalytical and TNO representatives traveled to Janssen Pharmaceutical located in Beerse. In the past couple of months, an auto sampling system was developed and validated for the Mastersizer 3000 (laser diffraction system). We anticipate that it could be installed at one of the end users research and development facilities during 2023 for test and evaluation in an industrial environment.

A huge accomplishment after extensive collaboration between Malvern Panalytical and TNO. Future experiments can now be performed on-site at Janssen next year for API applications. In the meantime the development of the sample loop is on going for the implementation at Johnson Matthey for a different suite of materials. We are looking forward to share more highlights of the PAT4Nano project in future updates.
